The twelve-month plan

1. Confirm your role qualifies before you accept it
2. Keep pay stubs, contracts and a duties letter from the start
3. Take the language test in your first three months, while you have time
4. Create your Express Entry profile the day you hit twelve months
5. Apply to a provincial stream in parallel — do not rely on one route
