Seven ways to raise your CRS score in under six months

Points are not equally expensive. Some cost you three weeks of study; others cost you three years of your life. Work down this list in order.

1. Retake the language test aiming for CLB 9 in all four abilities
2. Test in French, even at a modest level
3. Add your spouse's language results and credentials
4. Switch which partner is the principal applicant, if theirs scores higher
5. Get a provincial nomination — 600 points, decisive
6. Finish an additional credential
7. Accumulate a further year of skilled work experience
